Cwmaman Public Hall & Institute Ltd is our charitable arm, established to provide for the cultural, educational, and leisure needs of the community of Cwmaman and its surrounding area.
As a charitable body, it has ultimate responsible for the community owned building, ensuring that this facility continues to provide services to the community in line with its aims and principals. The charity has a separately appointed Board of Trustees and is able to accept charitable donations through grant making bodies and trusts on behalf of the Institute and for the benefit of the community.
The charity is also assisted and supported by the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation.
The charity has over the last 15 years been a powerhouse for the wider benefit of the community, and is committed to the economic prosperity of the area. This has been seen in the way that it has been responsible for establishing the Cwmaman Communities First Partnership, for which it is the lead partner-providing fiscal & management support.
In response to the needs of the community, the charity has ambitious plans to continue to increase its ownership of community assets and continue to work for the wider economic regeneration of the community.
